The new arrivals are displayed on the display boards and books will be kept on the display shelf for a week after which they will be available for issue, if not meant for the ‘not to be issued’ category.

Online Public Library Catalogue (OPAC):-

Using this computerized catalogue the Library users may search and find the available resources by Title, Author, Publisher, a Subject heading, Keywords, etc.

Interlibrary Loan Facility & Document Delivery Service (SAF):-

SSNC Library offers Inter-Library Loan and Document Delivery Service through Developing Library Network (DELNET- a network of more than 2000 libraries worldwide). Users may use this facility in case the required books, journals/articles, etc. are not available at the SSNC Library Center but are available at DELNET member’s libraries.

Users may search the available resources using the user id and password provided by the library.

DELNET (Developing Library Network):

It has been established with the prime objective of promoting resource sharing among the libraries through the development of a network of libraries. It maintains an online union catalogue of books available in its member libraries. This union catalogue is continuously updated and is growing in size. The information can be retrieved by author, title, subject, conference, series, etc. It has 92, 27,613 bibliographic records. The request for an inter-library loan can be placed through the SSNC College library. Users may search the resources but cannot post the request directly. They need to send the request to SSNC Library using the ILL and DDS form to post the required resources.
