About Department

The Department of Sanskrit is one of the esteemed department of the College. It was established in 1967. The Department of Sanskrit offers a three year BA prog course including Generic for Hons courses and SEC and AEEC courses. In addition Department of Sanskrit offers Yoga, Ayurveda, Ethics, etc which provides opportunities to the students in the field of Yoga and Ayurveda. The Department also offers core and elective courses in Sanskrit. The Department of Sanskrit has a learned and dedicated faculty members associated with farious Academic bodies. The Department of Sanskrit always engaged in the academic activities like organising Seminar, conference, workshop, debate essay writing competition, cultural activities, etc. The Department has one faculty separate room with modern instruments. The Department is keen in adapting new innovations in learning and encourages students to take active part in research and skill education. Presently one permanent Professor and Four Guest faculties working in the Department.
