The Department of Commerce offers B.Com (Hons) and B.com (Prog) at the under graduate level It has highly experienced faculty which ensures smooth teaching-learning process in the department. Each student also has access to the Computer Lab Facility, college library and other facilities available in the college. The library has a vast collection of books and journals, on-line and off-line, catering to different areas of specialization in commerce and business.

Seminars/ Talks/ Workshops

Seminars and Guest Lectures benefit both students and faculty. Guest Lectures are a practical and feasible solution. Inviting guest lecturers into the classroom offers a great opportunity for students to learn other viewpoints within a discipline, and to hear about current research and practical applications. SSNC, Commerce Department regularly invites guest speakers and conducts seminars for the development of students as well as faculty

Seminar was organized on 17/Feb/2017 on” Investment Opportunities in Capital Market”

Special lecture was organized by Department of Commerce on Consumer Protection by Prof. DPS Verma Lecture was organized on the issue of “An Analylical Framework for understanding Global Financial Crises” by eminent speaker Prof. K. V. Bhanumurthy, Prof. of Economics, Department of Commerce, Delhi school of Economics, Delhi University.

Move towards Better Corporate Governance

Workshop was organized by Head of Department of Commerce, Delhi University Prof JP Sharma “Companies Act 2013 : A Move towards Better Corporate Governance”. He explained legal, procedural and compliances, issues formalities related to New Campanies Bill 2013

6th, International Conference on Sustainable Development of the Society: Current Trends and Future Outlook 2017 (IC-SDSCTFO-2017 organized by Swami Shraddhananda College, University of Delhi, India in Association with South Asia Management Association – Indian Chapter and Jabalpur Management Association, Jabalpur, MP, India.

Industrial visits

Commerce Department organizes industrial visits for the students to familiarize them with the real time industrial environment and to give a feel of professional working in the industry. SSNC students visited the state of the art plant of Yakult Danone India, Mother Diary Plant and Parley-G.

A voluntary blood donation camp was organized at ssnc campus. Commerce students as well as faculty took active participation
