The Department of Computer Science, established in 2004, has played a pivotal role in fostering a dynamic learning environment at our institution. Offering a diverse range of programs, including B.A.(P) Computer Applications, Generic Elective, and Skill Enhancement Courses, it caters not only to computer science enthusiasts but also serves as a valuable resource for students from various disciplines within the college. Notably, during the FYUP period from 2013 to 2017, the department successfully imparted education in B.Tech (Computer Science), showcasing its commitment to academic excellence. Beyond academics, the department has been actively involved in fostering holistic development through a multitude of academic extracurricular activities. With a dedicated faculty comprising one Professor and three Assistant Professors, the department ensures the fulfillment of both teaching and research requirements. Boasting four state-of-the-art, air-conditioned computer labs, and well-equipped classrooms, it offers a modern and conducive learning environment. Furthermore, seamless internet access facilitates research and learning, making it a hub for technological exploration and growth.

A full stack web developer working as Senior Information Systems Officer at Indian Oil Corporation Limited with experience of 3.5 years. He bagged an AIR of 96 in GATE 2017 exam organised by IIT Roorkee. Having completed B.Tech in Computer Science from University of Delhi in 2017, he has successfully worked on various projects from scratch at workplace like Hospital Management System, Attendance Management System, workflow based Outstation Permission System, etc. He has worked with various tools and technologies like ASP.NET, Javascript, Oracle and MySQL Database with a strong foundation in Data Structures , Algorithms and Analysis, Computer Networks, Operating Systems. He has a keen interest to work in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
He is currently working as an Scientist B in National Information Centre under Ministry of Electronic & Information technology, GOI. He had secured AIR 94 Rank in GATE and AIR 131 in NIELIT Scientist exam (NIC). His GATE rank was 558 (99.5 percentile) and he did his Masters (M.tech) from IIIT Bangalore and has worked for Amazon.
He did his B.Tech(CS) from Swami Shraddhanand College, M.Tech (Software Engineering) MNNIT Allahabad. Currently Working In UPPCL (Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited) As Sub-Divisional Officer.
He is an upcoming Software Engineer at Citrix R&D India. He is Pursuing M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from IIT Kanpur (Aug 2019 - May 2021). Achieved AIR(All India Rank) 542 in GATE 2018. Former Software Engineer at Tokopedia(Indonesia's E-commerce marketplace) (Apr 2018 - July 2019). Did his B.Tech in Computer Science from SSN College, University of Delhi(Jul 2013 - Jul 2017).

One day online workshop was organized by the Department of Computer Science on 24th May, 2020 on “Google Classroom : Teaching, Learning and Managing”, in association with IQAC, Swami Shraddhanand College. The workshop enlightened the Faculty with GoogleClassroom functionality to help teachers to take online classes.

A field trip to the Sulabh International Museum was conducted for the B. Tech students as part of their curriculum for the Environment Engineering practical on 25 th April 2017.
One day workshop was organized by the Department of Computer Science on 22nd March, 2017 on “Big Data Hadoop”, in association with IBM. The workshop enlightened the students with Big Data Introduction, Architecture, Big data Problems, Understanding of various data formats and data units with Industry Requirements and challenges.
